At the recent GSMAC Conference hosted by the Griffiths School of Management and IT, researchers from the Informality Data Research Lab presented important studies on the shadow economy and informality:

1. What Are the Main Determinants of the Romanian Shadow Economy? An Empirical Analysis Based on Structural Equation Models (2015)

   This study used structural equation modelling to explore the primary factors driving Romania’s shadow economy, offering insights into the economic and social determinants contributing to informality.
2. Mapping the Field: Investigating the Literature on Informality and COVID-19 Pandemic Through a Text Analysis Approach (2022)

   This research analysed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on informality through a comprehensive text analysis of recent literature, identifying key trends and shifts in the field during the pandemic.
