Junior Researcher in Shadow Economy Dynamics and Analysis

Maria-Bianca Bolboaşă, a research assistant at the National Scientific Research Institute for Labour and Social Protection, is a graduate of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics, and Economic Informatics, specializing in Economic Cybernetics, from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, class of 2023. She is currently a master’s student in the Cybernetics and Quantitative Economics program at the same faculty. In the coming years, Bianca plans to pursue a doctoral program, aiming to research how the informal economy, tax evasion, and undeclared work shape and are shaped by the educational environment and labor market. Building on the micro and macroeconomic knowledge acquired during her bachelor’s and master’s studies, Bianca intends to broaden her research horizon by utilizing advanced Data Analysis, Data Mining, and Machine Learning models.
